Constructed from uncompromising 6mm thick laser-cut steel, Element’s substantial weight and thermal mass make it a powerhouse for heat retention. Unlike thinner, mass-produced pits, Element’s heavy-duty construction ensures stable & even temperatures, so you can focus on the food without worrying about constant adjustments.

Our pits are weatherproofed with a polymerised linseed oil coating, creating a durable, rust-resistant finish. This allows for easy upkeep, especially on high-heat areas like the firebox, where finishes like paint degrade quickly.

 

Reinforced 8mm thick components, including key stainless steel hardware, ensures reliability for a lifetime of serious barbecuing.

 

CAPACITY & PERFORMANCE

With Element’s spacious 90-gallon cooking chamber and XL firebox, you can smoke multiple large cuts like briskets, ribs, and pork shoulders in a single session. The firebox accommodates full-sized splits of wood, which burn longer and more consistently, so you spend less time refuelling and more time enjoying the cooking process.

The powerful draw from the foldable 1.1m chimney boosts airflow, enhancing convection for the ultimate bark & juicy tenderness.

AIRFLOW

Element’s airflow system is a masterclass in considered design. Inspired by our Fractal range, it incorporates a proprietary airflow guide that eliminates hotspots typically found near the firebox, maximizing the usable cooking area.

 

To further enhance airflow, we have optimised the transition of hot air from the firebox into the cooking chamber with unique serrated geometry that reduces the boundary layer effect, delaying flow separation.

 

This advanced airflow design improves heat distribution and increases air velocity, helping you achieve exceptional barbecue and that all-important meteorite-like bark.

 

HEAVY DUTY LASER-CUT COOKING GRATES

A substantial upgrade over expanded mesh found in most smokers, Element features laser-cut 6mm thick carbon steel cooking grates as standard. These grates are engineered to withstand a lifetime of heavy use without warping, sagging, or rusting through.

The durable construction not only ensures longevity but also simplifies cleaning, allowing for effortless maintenance after long cooks.

 

CUSTOMISABLE FIREBOX OPTIONS

The firebox is designed with flexibility in mind, offering options for both budget-conscious users and those seeking added versatility.

 

The sealed firebox of the base model delivers consistent, reliable heat control, whilst the openable top lid upgrade allows for direct heat cooking over the live fire with the included swappable plancha and grill grates, perfect for reverse searing or smash burgers.

 

For those seeking to further enhance heat retention and fuel efficiency, the semi-insulated firebox upgrade is also available.

 

PREMIUM HARDWARE

Element comes equipped with industrial-grade 200mm braked cast iron and polyurethane castors. Rated to 1800kg, these extra-large, heavy-duty castors make movement on uneven surfaces far easier than the smaller wheels typically found on other pits.

An over-specced 2-inch stainless steel ball valve grease drain, another first at this price point, drastically simplifies clean-up and maintenance.

Element also includes our custom extra large, calibratable 5" diameter GT500R temperature gauge, made in collaboration with Tel-Tru USA, widely regarded as the gold standard for precise and reliable temperature monitoring.
